• Service WILL NOT be provided on the following days; New Years Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Day.
• Smoking, eating, drinking and the playing of audio equipment are not permitted on the bus.
• Shirt and shoes are required to ride the bus.
• Unruly persons are not permitted to ride the bus. Do not block the exit. When boarding the bus, please step to the rear of the bus and leave front seats vacant for persons who are elderly or have a disability.
• All buses are accessible to the disabled and equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Fare tickets may be used in lieu of cash. Ticket booklets can be purchased by mail or in person at the Kern County Public Services Building on the first floor from the Cashier. For order information, call or write to:

The local dial-a-ride service area includes Lebec, Frazier Park, Lake of the Woods, Pinon Pines and Gorman. (Dial-A-Ride service is not provided to Pine Mountain Club.)

The Mountain Communities Healthy Start program provides the DAR service, in part. This pilot service will operate Monday through Saturday from June 10th to August 31st, 2002.

• The Sam's Mini Mart bus stop is located west of the Texaco station on the Frazier Mountain Park frontage road.
• The Flying J bus stop is located at the mailbox outside of "The Cookery" restaurant.
• The Frazier Park Post Office bus stop is located at the bus shelter across the street from the post office.
• The Lake of the Woods bus stop is located at Midway Market.
• The Pinon Pines bus stop is located at the mail boxes.
• The Pine Mountain Club bus stop is located at the shelter in front of the clubhouse.

The various communities of the Frazier Mountain Area are located 60 miles north of Los Angeles, 40 miles south of Bakersfield, and directly west of Interstate 5. We are the Southern Gateway to Kern County.

Elevations in the area range from approximately 3,500’ in Gorman and Lebec to 8800’ on Mt. Pinos.
